“I Feel Like An Upcoming Artist Every Time I Hear My Song On The Radio”: Sound Sultan Opens Up On #StarMusicTrek Radio Interview


Superstar musician Sound Sultan has revealed that he never gets tired of watching himself on TV or hearing his songs on radio. The Naija Ninja made the revelation during a radio interview alongside DJ Xclusive at The Beat 97.9 FM Ibadan ahead of Last weekend’s Star Music Trek #IbadanRocks concert at Trans Amusement Park, Samonda, Ibadan.

Speaking to Afternoon Show host Lolu, he remarked, “I have this permanent reset button. I never feel satisfied with my work and I feel like an upcoming artiste every time I hear my music on the radio or I see it on TV. I can never get tired of seeing myself on TV.”

Ambode Condoles With Gov. El-Rufai Over The Death Of His Foster Father


Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State on Thursday condoled with Gov. Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State over the passage of his foster father, Malam Yahaya Hamza. This was contained in a statement issued by Ambode’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Habib Aruna and made available to newsmen in Lagos.

Ambode, according to the statement, urged Gov. El-Rufai to take solace in the fact that the late Hamza lived a fulfilled life. He noted that Hamza rose to the pinnacle in the Kaduna State Civil Service, where he served as the Secretary to the State Government. Ambode said that he also served as Chairman of the Council of the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) from 1997 to 2000.

Buhari, Kukah Meets At Aso Rock


President Muhammadu Buhari  met briefly with the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto, Mathew Kukah at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Details of the brief meeting were unknown at the time of filing this report.

But Kukah, who was part of the National Peace Committee delegation that visited the President earlier this month, is believed to be against the government’s move to probe corrupt ex-public

OOU Notice To Engineering Students on Induction Programme


The Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) wishes to inform graduate engineering students of the institution that they are to participate in a mandatory induction programme into the Engineering Profession with Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).

The ceremony holds at Ibogun Campus of the OOU on 10th September, 2015.

Consequently, every student is to pay a sum of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15, 000.00) only to the Bursary through POS in any of our Campuses on or before 1st September 2015.

EFCC to arraign Ibru for alleged N1bn fraud


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has filed 11 counts of fraud against the former Chairman of Ikeja Hotels Plc, Mr. Goodie Ibru, for allegedly defrauding the hotel to the tune of N1bn.

Ibru was charged alongside three companies – Associated Ventures International Limited, IHL Services Limited and Clearview Investment Limited,The EFCC, in one of the counts, alleged that Ibru and his co-suspects conspired amongst themselves to steal a sum of N867,700,990.00 being the profit due to Ikeja Hotels Plc, adding that the suspects received the stolen sum through Starwood Limited, the managers of Sheraton Hotels, Ikeja.

Making a surprise appearance at the Star beer village where people won prizes and free tickets to the big show today, the MAMA Award nominee has arrived ahead of co-stars Yemi Alade, MI, Faze, Runtown, KCee, DJ Neptune, Tony Blaze and Gbenga Adeyinka who are all billed to perform today at the IBB Square Makurdi.
